Meet Dr. Paul Senter, FACS

Dr. Senter

"I always wanted to help people and I feel I can best accomplish this by being a colon and rectal surgeon. People still look up to their doctor and I do not want to disappoint them. The best feeling in the world is when a patient tells me thank you for helping them. All patients deserve the best possible care and my goal is to give it to them."

Dr. Senter started his practice in Colon and Rectal surgery in Fort Worth in 1988, after completing his residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. With over 26 years of experience, Dr. Senter is recognized as an expert in laparoscopic colon and rectal surgery, anorectal surgery and screening and therapeutic colonoscopy and has consistently been named a 'Top Doc'.

Through his years in practice, Dr. Senter has developed a unique approach in caring for his patients. "I enjoy assisting patients from diagnosis throughout the entire treatment process. I respect the trust and loyalty patients give to me." maintains, Dr. Senter. "I feel patients need to believe and trust in me before I can provide care to them. My patients all know they are going to receive the best possible care. Once a patient believes in the treatment plan, then they can relax and know they are receiving the best possible care I can provide."

Dr. Senter's clinical specialties include minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery and colonoscopy, both of significant importance to those experiencing colo-rectal issues. With minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, Dr. Senter is able to provide his patients with an option to traditional open surgical procedures. By utilizing a minimally invasive surgical approach, Dr. Senter's patients experience faster recovery times, less post operative pain, and less scaring due the small incision. With advanced techniques applied to colonoscopy, Dr. Senter is able to remove colon polyps reducing the risks of colon cancer. Colon cancer, the third most common cancer in men and women, has a 90% cure rate if caught early. Dr. Senter believes every patient deserves the best care available. "I truly care about my patients. I treat my patients the same way that I want to be treated." states Dr. Senter.

Dr. Senter is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. His maintenance of certification is current by both boards. He has achieved the status of Fellow by the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. Dr. Senter is a senior member of the Texas Surgical Society. In addition, he is a member of the Texas Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the Fort Worth Surgical Society, the Society of Baylor Surgeons, the Texas Medical Association and the Tarrant County Medical Society.
